Hangover Helpers for the Day After…

If “UGH! “is the first sound you utter the morning after, you just may need a few all-natural hangover helpers. Being prepared is your first line of defense. These six easy to find items should be on hand to help stop the ringing in your head and queasiness in your stomach.

Bananas- Drinking too much alcohol depletes the potassium in the body. Bananas contain high levels of potassium which your body will gratefully respond to.

Tomatoes- Tomato juice is rich in the vitamins, minerals, and enzymes which is often depleted from the body when you drink. Tomatoes also contain fructose with aids in metabolizing alcohol.

Honey- A great source for fructose is honey and it also contains potassium, just like bananas. Take a couple of teaspoons of it every 20 minutes or until the buzzing sounds stop!

Wasabi Powder- The skin aids in the release of up to one third of the toxins in your body  and you can speed that process up by adding a spoonful or two of wasabi power or wasabi bath salts to a nice hot soak in your tub.

Carbs- Feeling queasy?  Get beyond the potential nausea and eat carbs. A substantial portion of plain bread, rice or pasta will help absorb some of the alcohol in your stomach and speeds up the detoxification process.

Water-  This one is a no brainer, drink as much as you can before, during and after the party. This simple exercise will work better than probably any other remedy.
