Color of the Year: Ultra Violet
Every January, Pantone, best known for its color matching technology system, chooses a color of the year. In 2018 ultra violet took the prize. Even if this is news to you, you likely have an element of this vibrant purple hue in your wardrobe or home. But why stop there? Ultra violet gives a fantastic color pop to plates not just pants!
Can’t imagine a way to bring this rich color to your menu? Think violet macaroons, ice cream or frosting. There are also healthy ways to incorporate ultra violet into your menu. According to, ‘Shape & Smart Meetings’ Magazine, grapes, purple potatoes, carrots, cauliflower, figs, cabbage, edible flowers, eggplant and many other natural foods boldly display the hue, minus the artificial sugar.
