Riverboat Cruise Down The Rhine – Catch Me If You Can

August is here, putting the summer in its final days. Time (and I) fly! July found me relishing a week of leisure travel on a riverboat cruise down the Rhine which gave me a chance to unplug and recharge. Despite bruised knees (tripped over the dog and down the stairs,) airport delays and an ambitious consulting and speaking schedule, it was a relaxing month that brought me to four countries outside the U.S.
From the international flower market in Amsterdam (amazing!) to tiny shops dotted across Alsace, France, I thoroughly enjoyed my international experience. I fed my passion for books at the Guttenberg Museum in Mainz, Germany (I could have stayed there for days,) and feasted on some of the most delicious local fare in Cologne, Germany. I learned so much on this journey which continued when I got back home.
I’ve been working closely with the amazing Todd Hartley on a series of videos due out this fall. I met Todd as part of my Collecting and Connecting process and he has become a trusted colleague and mentor. Todd is sharing a host of professional insight on video marketing that I will share with you in a few weeks.
I can hardly believe that in a few short months is one-year anniversary of me becoming a best-selling author with the release of “The Strategic Planning Guide for Event Professionals.” If you haven’t read it yet, now’s the perfect time to dig in and set yourself up for a fall full of strategic success.
This past month was filled with discovery, new connections, 16 books read, quality time with good friends and a few extra hours of sleep. I’m eager to experience what August will bring.
